My dear son, Logan at the age of 11 years old learned from school how to harvest, clean and twist the ti leaf leaves to create a lei. He would pick the ti Leaf from our backyard and make small strands of ti leaf lei and store them in our freezer until he had enough. When he had enough to create a lei, he would lei me (his mom) with a huge smile, warm embrace and the words “I made this for you mom”. This is the memory I hold close and dear to my heart and treasure all of my days until we are reunited again and want to share with all of you.
